Peer Mentor Support

Gain support, advice and help from fellow students who have been in the same position as you.

Gain support, advice and help from fellow students who have been in the same position as you.

Our Peer Mentoring service is run by trained student mentors who are here to listen.

Peer mentoring provides a safe space to share issues affecting you in a non-judgemental and confidential environment. Receive positive advice and support from people experiencing similar things to yourself.

What peer mentoring is:

  • a relationship between people who are at the same career stage or age, in which one person has more experience than the other in a particular domain and can provide support as well as knowledge and skills transfer.
  • provides a “safe space” where the mentee can share concerns and feel accepted, valued, validated and heard.

What peer mentoring is NOT:

  • crisis support
  • diagnostic assessment / psychological treatment / intervention
  • therapy / counselling
