  • BEAT – UK’s leading charity supporting those affected by eating disorders and campaigning on their behalf. Take a look at a talk which was delivered to students at the University by a BEAT Ambassador.
  • FREED – Provides rapid access to specialist services for 16-25yrs those who have had an eating disorder for less than 3 years including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and others eating disorders. Developed by the Maudsley Eating Disorder Service. Website full of resources and information.
  • National Centre for Eating Disorders  (NCFED) – Everything you need for eating disorder help from information to free consultations.
  • Eating Disorders Support (EDS) – help and support for those on the journey to recovery from anorexia, bulimia or a binge eating disorder
  • Anorexia and Bulimia Care (ABC) – national UK organisation providing ongoing acre, emotional support and practical guidance for anyone affected by eating disorders or eating distress.

Online Courses

  • Centre for Clinical Interventions (CCI) – free CBT based modules on ‘disordered eating’, ‘body dysmorphia’ and ‘appearance concerns’. Best used as guided self-help alongside a wellbeing practitioner.
  • Anorexia and Bulimia Care: First Steps to Recovery – an interactive course based on the psychological theory of change. Includes film clips, downloadable material, goals setting activities, and practical tips from those who have recovered. The course takes approx 1-2 hours to complete and a one-off fee of £15 is requested (bursary scheme is available for those with financial restrictions).
