Our Peer Mentoring service is run by trained student mentors who are here to listen.
Peer mentoring provides a safe space to share issues affecting you in a non-judgemental and confidential environment. Receive positive advice and support from people experiencing similar things to yourself.
What peer mentoring is:
- a relationship between people who are at the same career stage or age, in which one person has more experience than the other in a particular domain and can provide support as well as knowledge and skills transfer.
- provides a “safe space” where the mentee can share concerns and feel accepted, valued, validated and heard.
What peer mentoring is NOT:
- crisis support
- diagnostic assessment / psychological treatment / intervention
- therapy / counselling
