Who Are We?

Welcome to The University of Chichester’s Student Support Service.

Need help settling into university life? Student Support Services offers free, confidential help for all students on any aspect of your student journey, including health and wellbeing. We are a small professional team offering advice, guidance and practical support Monday to Friday 9-5. Talk to us: we’re here to help you succeed.

How Do We Support You?

In all of our Advice and Guidance appointments you will speak with a professional who will take time to listen, offer advice, and connect you with the right support for your needs. We can offer you:

  • Reasonable adjustments for disabilities, learning differences (such as dyslexia, ADHD) and/or long-term medical or mental health conditions.
  • Advice on a variety of health-related issues, such as chronic health conditions, sexual health, pregnancy and pregnancy loss.
  • Help with Student Finance issues, personalised budgeting advice and cost-of-living support.
  • Mental Health and Wellbeing initiatives, not provided by other statutory services or local providers, that support wellbeing.
  • Wellbeing Counselling offering a short term solution-focused approach.
  • A range of support groups and activities such as ASC and ADHD groups, Weekly Pause, LGBTQIA+, and international student events.
  • Advocacy and liaison with tutors and academic staff when a disability, wellbeing or mental health issue is affecting your ability to study effectively.
